What is PDL?

Pocket design lab is a space where I am creating real and digital garments that are androgynous in nature.

PDL is a double play on the significance of the pocket in women’s fashion as well as the tiny pocket sized space where I design, construct and sew everything.

I am fascinated by the intersection of past vs. future, tradition vs. innovation, rural vs urban, sports vs art, and how I, a queer woman, fit into all of it. Everything I design and create is centered around these dichotomies.

My designs are focused on freedom and function. Freedom to play, move comfortably, and express yourself. They function to protect, offer comfort, be practical, last for years, and start a conversation.

  • With a foundation in play and freedom of movement, I prioritize versatility and functionality in my designs, addressing aspects often overlooked in womenswear.

    My work delves into the interplay between masculinity and femininity, striving to empower gender-fluid self-expression. Inclusivity is central to my design philosophy.

  • What excites me most about product development is the balance between creative problem-solving and analytical thinking. I love tackling challenges with a structured, yet imaginative approach—whether it's optimizing a design or refining details like fabric selection and trim. I thrive in the process of turning ideas into innovative, market-ready products, all with a keen eye for organization and precision
